OK, I'll lend some "professional" insight= Mili is a "dick" to twistnips because he can be! Just enough anonimity that we can be as candid and honest as we wish. When my Grandfather grew up, matters were settled with a fist and then the twistnip was given a beer and a cheap cut o' beef to limit the swelling.... Honesty today is litigated, accusations of racism,brutality,and just plain "mean" thought can result in loss of career/money/reputation.
In short = Because he can be!!
Why do we try to limit duplicated threads? OK..... Most of us work, support ourselves; families; some even vices.... WE DON"T WANT OUR TIME LIMITED!!!! Back to my Grandfather.... During the 20's 30's, decorum or rule of conversation/behavior was held to high standards. Very little time for deviation from the rules. If you joined a card game, you played by the rules. If you cheated or disrupted the skill of those in the game, you got a beer & a cheap cut o' beef!
Why did Mili reply "a mild rebuff, BTW" as he did? To let you know the rules of the board! Even I wouldn't waste e-beef!
Why have you been dinged here? Because we can!! However, after my big brother would kick my ass for embarrasing him or scratching one of his albums, he would teach me the fine points of long - snapping "damn near broke my nose once" and not allow one older soul think of fucking with me!
