So when you're losing by X points at halftime, you're supposed to say to your team, "Alright, let's pack it up and go home. Scout team, you're in so that the game can be official!" What number is that X number? 20? 30?

I remember a game where Ohio State was losing to Minnesota 31-0 before halftime. 1988? Sometime in the late '80's. Are you saying that Cooper should have said, "Ehh.. let's just run out the clock." Cooper didn't say that, and Ohio State won the game, 41-37. The chances of coming back from 31 points is very slim. But how can a team ever respect their coach who says, "Let's just not even try to win this game, anymore."
