Mid Major on Mid Major Violence

ORD_Buckeye

Wrong glass, Sir.
Maybe it's just me, but I can't stand these bowl games. They have zero interest unless there's a particular school that I really want to root against. Now mid-major against BCS always has the underlying dynamic of the upstart, loudmouthed punk trying to prove himself against a big boy, and bowl games between BCS teams have their own interest. All mid-major bowls, however, are just pure crapola.

Anyone really get up for a WAC v. CUSA matchup more than watching a couple of mid-tier BCS teams go at each other?

I normally don't mind watching lesser matchups - I'll watch just in case there's an interesting performance or finish.

I haven't watched this year though. Odds are they'll spend more time talking about Boise State or SEC speed or how Cam Newton is eligible or how Terrelle Pryor isn't.

I have better things to do than listen to Joe Tessitore, Mark May and Kirk Herbstriet be good company men.

I turned on the Triple Option Bowl (AF vs. GT) right before the game started and thought man, this will be interesting to watch. After going on a Wikipedia binge for awhile, I heard "And Georgia Tech falls to 6-7", and I realized the game was over and I had watched two plays.
