Lets be very clear. 4 games 2 TDs even with all 2nd string is unacceptable.
I am a MSU season ticket holder and the Rutgers game almost made me end my own life. Just so you can grasp how pathetic MSU offense was......Rutger yes RUTGERS started a 5th year senior who I don't think hard really played all year (but had been in and out of lineup his previous 2 years) and he marched them down the field on the opening drive for a TD.......Rutgers.......Rutgers......against a top 10 Nationally ranked Defense.

So when you tell me that MSU could only muster 2 TDs the last 4 games I ask you how in the heck does blood not get spilled. The OC needed to go. If for no other reason than to save that poor soul from having to wake up everyday and know you suck at your job. It would be a mercy shot for goodness sake.

No amount of injuries can justify that offensive production and play calling. Literally made we consider not getting season ticket for next year. But then I got drunk and it all became a bad dream. And I am better now. Not healed but in a better place. And BB is not sucking. I mean BB is not awesome but being good at it makes forgetting about a horrible football season easier. Like maybe 2% easier but easier none the less.

To be fair... this was the 1st year in a season or more that Hairball's offense had a passing TD.
Think about that. Not even our XBrax '12 offense was that anemic.
They've made but a tiny step forward... and i dont expect it to continue.
Dantonio's O has stagnated but i think he's missing Narduzzi more. Their O has been balanced pro in the past... nothing revolutionary, but sound like you'd expect a team that focuses on developing 3stars.

They had a few passing TDs in 2017. They didn't have any passing TDs to a wide receiver though.

Mark Dantonio approved for rolling one-year extension

Mark Dantonio signed a six-year contract in 2016 that was essentially an indefinite contract. Under the provisions of the deal, MSU’s Board of Trustees each February have the option to tack another year onto the contract, making it essentially a rolling six-year contract, and for the second straight year they have done just that, according to the Lansing State Journal‘s R.J. Wolcott.

That's a dying program. Dantonio has reached the "Mack Brown post-2009" phase of his career. He eliminated any doubt of that when he threw his offensive "brain trust" in a room and told them to duck-duck-goose it for new jobs.
