Purdue star DE Avril could miss game

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Purdue defensive end Cliff Avril could miss Saturday's game at Michigan with a right knee strain.

Avril was injured in the fourth quarter of last Saturday's 23-7 loss to Ohio State. Coach Joe Tiller said Avril would be questionable this week.

another spread offense = another loss at the big house
The only difference being that Painter is not exactly mobile...when you look at the App State game and the Oregon game yes they were both in the spread but they also had very mobile QB's...for that reason this will be a big test for the scum D to see if the spread is the problem or just the mobile QB that has plagued them the past few years...

Good news: Purdue's big scary spread offense has generated all of 7 points - and that should really be credited to the defense as their lone touchdown came after a Henne fumble on the 5. Michigan up 31-7 at the half.

Bad news: Mike Hart hobbled off the field late in the half.

Silver lining: It didn't really look any worse than when he was dinged up against Oregon.

Since when is Tsun winning good news. maybe you need to go to umblog.com :tongue2:
Well you don't expect me to call it bad news, do you? :wink2: Anyway, the bigger the Michigan win total, the bigger The Game.

34-7 now. I imagine Hart won't see the field again this game, better safe than sorry. It's early still, but it's a four-score game - five with just another field goal - and if there's one thing that's for sure about Carr, he doesn't take unnecessary risks.
