One old-time coach (it might have been Ara Parseghian when he was at Northwestern) said playing Ohio State always cost you two losses - the one vs the Buckeyes and the next week as well, because your team was so beat up. That's exactly what happened to NU last week, and will cause them to be down against a scUM team that might have taken this game lightly if not for the season-opening debacles.

I have a feeling that Northwestern will play much better at home against Michigan, especially if Sutton is available. After seeing our defense, they should have far less problems against Michigan's...

It really depends on how much they are beaten down from the 58 points the Bucks put on them, however, I think that if scUM can run it up to try and look like they are better than tOSU, they will.

I have a hunch that the Michigan D will look more like the NU practice squad compared to tOSU D. Maybe the 'Cats won't be as confused this week.

I don't expect NW to win, but they're the type of offense with which Michigan struggles. Bacher isn't necessarily a mobile QB, but they do run a spread. I'd say NW covers, but Michigan wins.

NW 1st play from scrimmage goes for big yardage... guy was tackled for a minimal gain, but his knees never hit (rolled over the guy), took off... 1st down deep in Mich territory (16 yard line)
