MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

And ability to break tackles. Probably helps that he's so short and built like a bowling ball.

I sure hope the scouts aren't somehow disappointed in his combine numbers. That would imply that they haven't been paying attention for the last four years. .

yeah, I mean, if they pay attention to the last 4 years, they shouldn't draft the oft-injured *ussy at all. :roll1:

Mike Hart remains confident, unconcerned over combine stats: 'I don't think anybody is better than me'

BY MARK SNYDER ? FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER ? March 3, 2008
Former Michigan tailback Mike Hart was not bothered by his performance at last weekend's NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Hart didn't place in the top 10 among running backs in any of the seven drills. But he isn't worried about slipping in the upcoming NFL draft. Most draft analysts think he will be taken in the third or fourth round.
"I think I'm one of the best running backs in the country. I don't think anybody is better than me," Hart said. "As a running back, that's how you have to think.
"Some people are going to slip with as many running backs as there are, but you need to have a great week (at the combine). ... That's all you can do, and then it's up to the team who they want to take."

To be honest, nobody should really be "bothered" by Hart's Combine performance. Anyone who was expecting him to rip off a great 40 time was clearly delusional. Hart isn't a workout warrior, never has been and never will be. I know he takes a lot of shit on this board for him running his mouth, but he was still a great collegiate player.

"If you hear things about me, my 40 time didn't surprise me," he said. "They're not saying Mike Hart is slow; they already knew what I was going to run when I was there. ... If they're interested in me, they're interested in me because of my game film, not because I was going to the combine and run a 4.2 or anything like that."

Yeah he's slow, small, injury-prone etc... but the kid plays hard, is a virtual certainty to get you 100 yards if you have non-retarded blocking in front of him, is one of the better pass blockers at RB in the draft, and is pretty tough.

In college, or in the NFL?

I agree that he was a great running back in college, but being slow, small and injury prone will only hurt him more in the pros. He'll be playing against bigger and stronger athletes, and because of this will be even more injury prone. Also, I'm curious how his attitude will effect his draft status, and how he'll be treated by teammates as a rookie who is saying things like "I don't think anyone is better than me" (even if only referring to RBs in this class) when he managed to win one bowl game and no games against his biggest rival.

Well you have to be confident

The word "great" gets thrown around far to often. Mike Hart was an excellent college football player, but to say someone that went 1-3 in Bowl Games and 0-4 vs. his chief rival is "great" is a bit far in my book.

Well, first of all, I agree it does get thrown around too often. But second of all, it wasn't Mike Hart vs. Ohio State or Mike Hart vs. Texas/Nebraska/USC/Florida, but it is a good point. His production was still pretty damn good though.

Agree. Barry Sanders... Hershel Walker... they were great. Hart isn't close to their class. But, he did have a solid career none the less.
