Most, if not all, GMs were concerned, to varying degrees, about the locker-room dynamics of having an openly-gay player...even E$PiN ragged on it. Obviously someone went ahead and took a flyer on him. He may have been slow and overrated, but the fact that the SEC's "premier" defensive player (even if in name only) can't even make a roster and could barely make the CFL indicates there's more to play than just him being not as good as advertised. You'd better start with an asking price....he sucked and the results on the field in multiple leagues has proven it so....
He was a tweener before anyone even cared he was Gay. He announced it, became a celebrity and that only somewhat covered the fact he's slow, he's undersized and he beat up on less than stellar competition on Mizzou's joke of a schedule.
