Apparently God is still not a ND fan. That onside kick broke the plane of the 40 yard line by mere inches, then took one of those funny football bounces backward about three yards. ND fans are gonna swear that ball didn't go ten yards - it looked like Sparty had that one on a string a pulled it back. Hopefully they can get another score here.

Commentators have no clue that he didn't maintain the ball to the ground.
Though it might not matter...he did get about 2 feet down. Not sure the official rule.

They watched a replay about 20 times and never once did they figure out why the pass was incomplete. Maybe someone should explain to them that when coming down with a pass in the end zone you have to possess it all the way down. The play isn't over the moment the ball hit your hands and your foot hits the ground.
Best part? Fat Charlie challenged the incomplete call, Dumb and Dumber insisted it would be reversed, and when it wasn't they still had no idea why.
