Personally, I'm all for whatever paints Randy Shannon as the horse's arse he is. I wouldn't put it past him to liken his present situation to that of something fictitious at tOSU again.

Wait just a second, you are saying Shannon = Rodriguez? If so, good, I am glad the UofM's north and south have found their guys.Gatorubet;1371464; said:Money on this: Shannon found out which schools Mauve was contacting and banned him from those schools out of spite.
He is a lying little bitch, and scum whose word cannot be trusted in anything. I hope he coaches there for twenty years..

[censored] that cock licking, sleazeball, piece of [censored].
We are supposed to feel sorry for Shannon now because the media is giving him a hard time after that bull[censored] he pulled in smearing OSU and UF out of nowhere? I don't recall any cries of outrage from Miami on that one.
I wouldn't cross the street to [censored] on Shannon if he was on fire.

Q: By that rationale, doesn't that mean there is going to be a huge disconnect next season?
A: And that?s why you start now and you start the trend. The trend has been set. What Kyle has done and what Kirby has done last year, Marve has been in every meeting. He?s been in every quarterback meeting. He?s been watching film with them. He?s been learning. And Kyle and Kirby have done some things to help Marve out. Hey, don?t do what I did. Blah, blah, blah. And that?s what I mean helping him through the process and the trend.
Q: But obviously though there’s kids that live off campus. But what do you tell parents about that?
A: We show them the neighborhoods. Everybody else in the country lives off campus and they still have the same problems. But their newspaper don’t beat them up about it. Like our newspaper beats us up about it. I know you guys are doing your job, you got to beat us up about it. But then understand we just want a fair shot. At Ohio State, do you realize you had more things happen at Ohio State more than anything. You think we’ve been bad? Go check out Ohio State, guys who have been arrested, bar fights. Everything at Ohio State and you’d think University of Miami was angels. Florida the same...

that didn't work out so well did it?
Personally, I never found Shannon's comments to be that insulting. I don't remember them exactly, but it seemed more of a rookie mistake as a coach than a back-handed slap at tOSU.
The linked articles removed his quotes b/c they were inaccurate statements and the paper didn't want to have false info in their paper.

So what did the athletic director need to know about his past? That all four of his siblings were drug addicts? No. That he'd failed to heed his mother's warning about sex, the plea of a woman who would work four years in an AIDS ward as a nurse's aide and watch the disease take three of her children? No. Did the AD need to know the particulars of the four children he'd had by three women, the first one at age 17 and the second at 20? To hear Randy try to explain the unexplainable, that the same dizzying instant that could bring death was the only one that made a man forget death? To hear about his brief marriage in college and his current one, also to a woman he didn't live with, a marriage that many friends and colleagues didn't know existed? No.
What about all the charges filed against him over the past 20 years, for trespassing, burglary, driving with a suspended license, loitering, petty larceny, grand theft, drug possession and assaulting a police officer? Yeah. Maybe he'd better tell the AD about those.

What in the world The U was thinking when it hired this guy to oversee the lives of its young charges is beyond me.
