Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

http://www.mypalmbeachpost.com/news...ule-could-create-headaches-for-miami-h/nrK6z/

So apparently we're supposed to feel sorry for Da U, because recruits(now parents as well) from all over(especially the north) want to get free trips and goodies from Miami/South Beach?! Sorry but if I was an elite recruit, I'd be thinking the same. Who wouldn't want to partake in the sights and sounds of South Beach, on someone else's dime? It's not like it's entertaining going to watch a quarter filled stadium, 30min from campus, with players running out of fog and hearing coaches reminisce about the Canes past, since they haven't been relevant in over a decade

Richt should just implement Schnellenberger's "State of Miami" protocol and fill the remainder of the class with NY/NJ/PA Jews/Paisans like the old days.

If you can't dominate Broward/Dade, you're already assed out.
He couldn't even dominate GA as the HC at UGA and his only in state competition was a school most of the elite HS talent couldn't qualify for. Now he has multiple Power 5 conference schools in the same state. I guess I see why Golden took up the NJ/NY/PA recruiting angle. If you can't beat the big boys at recruiting, give up and go north and entice kids with palm trees, sun and bikinis

An absurd comparison.
No metro area in the united states has produced more 3-4-5 star players in the past five years than the 120 mile metro Atlanta area.

You can't compliment his ethical roster management and remark how he followed the rules and then shit on him for refusing to over sign.
The is no way that Georgia could have closed the border on all the talent in Atlanta alone, much less the rest of the state.

This is the same Miami "look at those losers in Columbus 100k strong at their spring game because there isn't anything better to do like go to beaches" Hurricanes? Well, if there are better things to do than go to your games, then there are better things for recruits to do in Miami than actually caring about attending your shitty little school. Can't have it both ways. Your location is just soooooo great that not only does it attract kids from colder areas to play football but it just attracts people who want a free vacation. That sucks. You can't see me but I'm crying for poor Miami right now. :tibor:

Us sad, pathetic people up north here don't have to worry about that. When studs come to visit Ohio State, it's because they want to come see how big boy championship level football is done. They aren't coming to visit Columbus for the surf n turf dinners.

Miami suspends top returning linebacker, investigating possible NCAA violations

Miami linebacker Juwon Young has been "suspended indefinitely for a violation of department rules," according to athletic director James Blake.

The school is reportedly investigating potential NCAA violations by "several athletes" and the suspension of Young comes from the school's compliance department, not the football coaches, according to the Palm Beach Post. Young's suspension is due to his failure to be forthcoming with the compliance department during the investigation, according to multiple reports.

The Miami Herald is reporting that the potential NCAA violations stem from players receiving luxury vehicles from a car agency and says Young is expected to not be with the team for the entire 2016 season.

... Because he didn't come clean when UM questioned him. UM will report to NCAA if it finds violations. UM Nevin probation ends in October.

The Herald‘s report went on to note that star defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad is being investigated for his involvement with the same agency; as of now, Muhammad remains an active member of the program.

Re: However, in 1985, in response to rampant violations at several schools, the NCAA Council passed the "repeat violator" rule. The rule stipulates that if a second major violation occurs at any institution within five years of being on probation in the same sport or another sport, that institution can be barred from competing in the sport involved in the second violation for either one or two seasons.

Does the NCAA still have the DEATH PENALTY?....:sneaky:

For that program, the death penalty has already been imposed. Here's the video:

Why would they ever consider the Death Penalty? Unless I missed the sarcasm font... I see almost nothing coming of this, tbh
