Miami players calling season-ticket holders

For the Miami football season-ticket holders still wondering about Tuesday-night phone calls: Yes, that was really Jacory Harris. The Hurricanes' starting quarterback and other teammates called season-ticket holders to thank them for their support and also to invite them to next Saturday's Canes Fest event. The reactions they got from fans ranged from disbelief to dismissal. Harris, speaking at the Edgerrin James Room on the UM campus Wednesday, said two or three fans nearly hung up and then quizzed him to see if he was really the Hurricanes' signal-caller.

There is a tropical storm brewin' off the South Florida coast...

You think Uncle Randy and the gang are going to let you fools in CANESville get comfy...don't think so.

The seeds are already planeted...'Canes got talent...just real young. Three years. You have three years to get your jollies off while you can, because it ain't lasting much longer than that.

In three years, Canes gonna have #1 RB in the nation and potential Heisman winner in Bryce Brown, best linebackers, best safeties...its comin...just lettin you know now so you ain't shocked.

You don't watch much Miami football.

OL is fine.

Going to be even better this year. Orlando Franklin, Joel Figueroa, Xavier Shannon, Harland Gunn + Patrick Hill + Stable of backs = dominant running game.

'Canes are going to clean hose on offensive line in recruiting this year, might land Xavier Nixon, couple him on the bookends with Ben Jones...'Canes got nothing to worry about on offensive line as long as they shore up the left tackle spot with a recruit, and they will get someone.

You know nothing.

LOL @ anyone but Bryce Brown as the #1 runner in the country. He was the best back in the country as a JUNIOR...never mind senior...its wrapped up at that point. I have several games that were just sent to me by Brian Butler from his sophy and junior seasons...not highlight reals, but game tape...the kid is sick. Last night, watched a game where he had as many touchdowns as he had touches.

Reggie Bush + Bo Jackson = Bryce Brown

Also, best work ethic of any high school football player I've ever heard of.

Lamar Miller is also better than Cierre Wood.

I share the sentiment of the quoted individual.

He really is the best HS runner I've seen. Only thing he lacks is blocking.

He is a Brown...while you haven't heard of him yet, nor probably his brother...they are machines...literally. The right people behind him, just born and bred for football.

Arthur is a MF'n beast. Maybe the few Miami fans and AoB have seen the Miami spring game, kept up with practice, but Arthur Brown is legit. While his LB instincts are behind Sean Spence a little bit, he is the second coming of DJ Williams, and is much better than him at this point in each of their careers. He is a heat seeking missile to the football. He hits a little high right now, but no one breaks an Arthur Brown tackle. Once he hits you, its over.

I suggest finding some way to acquire or watch Bryce Brown this year. The kid is just sick.
Wonder if they still feel this way? :slappy:

I'd expect them to be a lot more disciplined than last year when you had a lot of true freshman playing. Plus, they have a very tough opening schedule (toughest in memory since I have lived down here), so they better be ready.
