I don't know what will happen to PSU, and their situation is clearly in a different galaxy, but it seems to me that Miami should be looking at USC-type punishment at a minimum. There was a rumor that they were considering a second year of a self-imposed bowl ban, but they're probably looking at sanctions greater than that if Golden is determined to be guilty of recruiting violations and ethical breaches. It may take another year or two before it all shakes out and the penalties are imposed.
Whether Al Golden and Donna Shalala survive this will be interesting.

This one is not passing the early smell test...I've watched hundreds of potential recruits leaving stadiums with gloves, ankle braces, cleats, etc. The players get new everything whenever they want it...so it is now a violation when a starstruck HS kid picks up the trash?"He's just the type of person when you get around him, you feel comfortable with him," Lane said of Allen. "He did a lot of little stuff for us. Sometimes he'd give us like a pair of gloves that maybe a University of Miami player used. Like, say Lamar Miller or something."
