Three weeks ago while he was sitting in class, 2024 three-star Michigan offensive lineman
Andrew Dennis received a text from Ohio State Director of Recruiting Strategy Nick Murphy.
Murphy expressed to Dennis that OSU was interested in him as a prospect, and hoped to host him on a visit soon. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound offensive lineman was all too eager to visit Columbus and made his first visit to OSU as a recruit Saturday for the Iowa game.
“It was awesome,” Dennis told
Eleven Warriors of his visit. “I really liked the people there and liked how everyone was held accountable at all times. Coach Frye was still coaching his guys even when they were up 54-10 with the second string in. The energy they have is so high, everybody is into it and locked in the whole time. The gameday atmosphere is nuts, and seeing how loud everyone gets is awesome.”
While on his visit, Dennis met with OSU graduate assistant Mike Sollenne, Director of High School Relations Ed Terwilliger and offensive line coach Justin Frye. He also spent time in the hour leading up to the game spending time on the sidelines with OSU 2023 offensive lineman commits
Luke Montgomery and
Austin Siereveld.
“Talking to some of the coaches, I really liked how honest they were,” Dennis said. “They tell how Ohio State is and they don’t sugarcoat it. They’re gonna tell you how it is, and that’s something I really liked. Spending time with the commits was a good thing too.”
