Interesting how a team like Texas A/M can be ranked 15, yet are paying 3000 more than OSU on the money line. I think Vegas should do the rankings over writers.

All five starters of the national champions and three of the runners-up are gone. I can see why they left us both out for now...

I Know I know.. but some respect should be given ... Both schools are in borderline dynasty stages. It's not like George Mason making a run one year, and then losing some players and not making the top 25.

Kansas State 94, Syracuse 69, Ohio State 65,

ESPN/USA Today Poll

I actually love this as motivation. The new guys and the returning guys with new roles (*cough* Lighty *cough*) can earn their own reputation and not have to deal with the memory of Oden, Conley and last year's team.

If you look up at the 27 teams in front of the Buckeyes, is there anyone that is head and shoulders above the potential of our guys? No - and the good news is that UNC, MSU and IU are all on the schedule to be used as stepping stones to the top.

True, but how can they not factor in what an overachiever Matta is? The fact that he won an outright Big-10 title two years ago still astonishes me.

Actually, 65 votes is a lot of respect for a team that's replacing as much as we are. I'd say those are all "faith in Matta" votes. Even with full scarlet-colored glasses on, it's hard to rank this team too deep into the top 20. Lots of teams brought back a ton of proven talent. The Bucks have plenty of time to earn a higher ranking.
