Two interesting blogs about Sally Kurgis (which may or may not be 100% factual):

1) BEXLEY, OH -
A suspected drunk driver leads police on a wild chase through Bexley, Ohio, and it's all caught on camera.

Bexley police were out looking for drunk drivers during the early morning hours on Thanksgiving Day when they spotted a white Nissan blowing through a red light. They then tried to pull it over.

The car eventually pulls off into a driveway, but after the cop gets out of the car , she backs right into his cruiser. She's laying on the horn and blasting her music as she backs into the cruiser another time, and then another time.

Several officers then show up. They yell at her to stop and try to smash open her windows.

Finally, she drives through the backyard and drives off.

The chase continues, twisting and turning through neighborhood streets in Bexley. She barely avoids spike strips. Finally, a Columbus police cruiser comes in, pulls a pit maneuver and gets the suspected drunk driver to lose control.

The car goes over the curb and down a small embankment. Police say 25 year old Sally Kurgis is the woman behind the wheel.

She's now facing nine charges, including felonious assault, resisting arrest and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

and

Allegedly, Daddy would provide alocohol/whatever else for her high school house parties, then proceed to hit on her friends.

Source: I dated a girl that went to high school with her.

Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $1 Billion, Third-Largest Lotto Game Ever

The Mega Millions jackpot has moved up to $1 billion, just in time for the Friday 01/22/21 drawing, which will be held at 11 p.m. ET tonight. It's the second-largest jackpot in the game's history, and only the third time an American lotto game has reached $1 billion.

Mega Millions has rolled over for 37 drawings since September 2015, which is the longest run in the game's history.

The largest jackpot in history was the world-record Powerball prize of $1.586 billion on January 13, 2016. That Powerball prize was split between three different winners from California, Florida and Texas. The largest Mega Millions prize was $1.537 billion for the October 23, 2018 drawing. A single ticket in South Carolina won that jackpot, which was the world's largest game won by a single ticket.

Friday night's 01/22/21 Mega Million jackpot is worth $1 billion, with a cash-value option of $739.6 million. The exact dollar amount could be higher than an even $1 billion as final lottery sales won't be tallied until later tonight.

Feel free to share your best "blew the lottery winnings" stories. I heard a few from a CPA I know a few years back. The common theme was going spending crazy. Things like building a high school sports facility for their kid's team.

I delivered furniture in undergrad. I'm pretty sure one house we delivered to was the home of a lottery winner. One year we delivered there at least 4 times just during the summer. Every time the cost of the furniture went up dramatically and there was a new car in the driveway. And when I say a new car, I mean it was in addition the all the cars already there. Each one being more expensive than the previous ones. Oh, and the house was going through a big expansion and the construction of an inground pool. It was on a small lot too. Not sure why they didn't move.
