The surgery went smoothly, and she should be home soon. Is doing well by all accounts considering the situation.

Back at home... actually been back at home for a couple hours. Had some food, and now she's sleeping. Doing fine. Thanks to all for all the support and well wishes. I'll let her get in to the details she wishes to get in to.... but, suffice to say it is a relief to be past this phase, and while not out of the woods yet, there is reason for optimism.

Calling all friends & people I met on the way down
Thanks for all the well wishes, everyone... I am feeling fairly human today... It was great to have The Game yesterday to watch, the diversion was great.
As BKB mentioned, we have some reason to be a bit optimistic, I can't let my guard down completely until the actual pathology results are back but for now, the surgery is in the past and I'm feeling fine..

The results are in....
I noticed in the shower this morning my "Pamela Anderson" boob is diminishing... for those that know me, I am not a small chested gal but since last Friday the left side has been swollen to the point it looked like the surgeon did an implant... (one sided that is...)
Pathology is back... the dance is not completely over.
The news was certainly better than it could have been but not as optimal as I would have liked. It is intraductal carcinoma. Which means, the duct she removed contained cancer cells... the good news, it was contained in the duct. My follow up apt is scheduled for Dec.9
