2026 MD OL Immanuel Iheanacho (Verbal Offer)

I lived here for 10 years. Do not miss it. And the people are so rude they make New Yorkers look like Canadians
Yeah, I used to travel there a bunch in college, since I went to school in SE VA, but had a bunch of friends and family in the DMV area. I lived in Tysons Corner for a few years, and between the traffic, the price of everything and the people, I don't miss it a whole lot
There was some amazing food though!

That's what makes this NIL change so interesting. Adidas was doing this with Louisville basketball money granite they also were paying for other types of service. However I'm my eyes same thought, Petino and Adidas got fined and investigated for the pay to play scandal.

Maryland is essentially doing what Oregon is doing with Nike, except they're using their Under Armor connection
Interesting, kind of Phil Knight Lite? I honestly wouldn't mind seeing them be more competitive in the conference, better than seeing recruits leave the B1G schools. All that knowing well that I would prefer these types of prospects to land here, but you can't get them all.

Phil Knight- lite is a good way to put it. The biggest difference with UMD and Oregon is that Oregon is also a destination for coaches, and they can pull kids nationally. UMD will do their biggest damage in the DMV, but coaching will still be an issue and they'll have to out talent teams. But good luck in a dog fight, or when teams are equal

Would opine that NIL cash is also utilized to pay some 'extra' for coaches? Certainly understand that the NIL donors want to see their money on the field, but also see as a chicken and egg thing. Do good coaches indicate better recruits? Would say yes. Do good players mean good coaches? Probably also yes. Can improve rep by coaching up 2*s to 4*s, but more traction in coaching up 4*s into 5*s. Just the mutterings of someone who likes to find reasoning in things. Go Bucks! PS, heartily agree that strengthening the 'middle' of the B10 is a wonderful thing.
