2025 MD DB Faheem Delane has signed his LOI!!!

247 National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn has put in a CB to OSU 8D

On a side note: Walton is getting a ton of love and he deserves it all! But let’s not act like Matty G isn’t doing his thing with his strong relationships in a short amount of time at OSU. Delane and McNutt are relationships that Guerriri hasn’t let fall by the waist side after Eliano. Let’s not forget to give him kudos too for the S talent that OSU is set to get

The best want to play with the best. Delane (and Brew and McNutt) have to be chomping at the bit to form what could be the best secondary we've ever had...obviously that has to be earned and is a high bar, but I've never seen such a ridiculously loaded DB room in my lifetime. This is like late 90s good with more upside. If we can make half of what we get in the '23, '24 and '25 classes to be what they're billed. Look out.

As it relates to Delane, timing is perfect for him. Ransom graduates, then after a RS year DeLane is fighting for a job. Heck, he could be playing immediately. Pups bite. By my count we have Downs Hartford, Bonsu, and Hawkins after this year. So yeah, Delane could come right in.

Back to DBU! Since I am such a shallow guy, am mightily looking forward to the recruiting mags coming out. Always immediately turn to the position recruiting sections, specifically the recruiting of positions, and the team recruiting by positions. Get a bit of joy seeing that tOSU gets at least one guy in each position (usually doesn't happen), and that tOSU gets at least several position groupings (usually does). Envisioning seeing tOSU with 'best' groupings of WR (natch), DBs (looking good), and OL (hopefully). If could land DL, LB team rankings as well, it would be Christmas in July. Who knows, maybe these magazines are wringing their collective hands on how to augment with portal players as well (probably not). Anyway, at least this year, (and no, not sanguine enough to believe there'll be zero decommits), the sleeping giant that is tOSU is awakening, and flexing its recruiting chops. Can't wait to see what wonders will be baked with these marvelous ingredients. Go Bucks!

If we get Delane, Brew, and McNutt….that would be 6 db’s ranked in the top 35 nationally overall. That would have to be the best DB recruiting class, ever, at any school. Could be 5 or 6 5stars

The top-ranked player in the state of Maryland, the high four-star safety has had Ohio State and Oregon as his two front-runners for some time but some other visits are coming up. Delane will visit Colorado and Texas soon and then he’s heading back to Ohio State this spring as well as the rumor is the Buckeyes are definitely the team to beat right now in his recruitment.
