Between the two of them - McNabb. One day Vick will have a line to protect him, not the human sieve that is the Falcons idea of one nano-second two nano-second - then we may see less of -- whoop's there goes Mike. Donovan has done this more, proven it longer and had to work around the same issues (becoming a pocket passer) more than Vick.

I just don't see how this is even a contest. McNabb was one of the top QBs in the league last season, and Vick is, well....exciting to watch. Any QB that can make Todd Pinkston look like he marginally belongs in the NFL has accomplished something, whereas Vick took Peerless Price (the best 2nd receiver in the league when they acquired him) and turned him into a training camp cut. No receiver will ever have good numbers playing with Vick, because he can't get them the ball enough. McNabb, on the other hand, spreads the ball around masterfully and yet still kept his ultra-talented whiny bitch catching TDs most of the time last season too.

McNabb by a longshot.

McNabb hands down. He's simply better all around. As has been said, Vick is exciting, but I'm not convinced at this point he is a good QB. He almost seems like a RB who can throw pretty well to me. Then again, ATL doesn't really give him the best protection. He has a great arm, but McNabb just seems more "in control" to me.

yeah eveyone has brought up some good points, and i will give it to vick that he brought a pretty bad offense and gave defenses somethin to worry about. But as far as him "saving atlanta" i think it has been an all-around turn around because they did get a new coach, their defense has gotten much better, and they have a couple of very good running backs (Duckett, Dunn) and a TE (Crumpler) and decent receivers (jenkins).

I think if you put Vick at reciever, you would get results similar to another certain speedy 6-footer who wears number 7 and a jersey in another shade of red that we all have learned to love.......

*EDIT yeah wups i didnt see the "broughten" thing, i think i was tryin to type too fast. thanks for pointin it out Thump.

McNabb is a better QB right now but Vick will be better eventually. When Vick was out, his team tanked. When he came back the next year, they went to the playoffs. Philly has a much better supporting cast. When McNabb went down a couple years ago, his team never missed a beat. When Koy Detmer and A.J. Feely can engineer victories for your team, you know the supporting cast is top notch. So why does Philly keep falling short? McNabb is a good passer and runner but he's becoming the Jim Kelly of his time. And Kelly's stats were a lot better.

theyre both overrated to a certain extent, mcnabb has a better team around him and can win; vick started from scratch and now theyre definitely headed in the right direction; hes only played two full seasons and made it to the nfc championship game and lost.... if i recall there was a certain qb who made it to the nfc ship and lost... 3 times... in a row... if vick can become more accurate and develop that gun of an arm he has, he'll definitely be a top tier quarterback for the next 15 years.... no disrespect to mcnabb... anyhow, mcnabb is the better qb at the moment, but i expect vick to be just as good, if not better after 2 or 3 more seasons

ha, yeah 15 more years for Vick, the way he runs around like crazy just begging to get injured. i doubt Vick will be "better" than McNabb, but i will say that he can develop into a pretty good solid quarterback. As in top of the league, but i still think McNabb is so solid and the reason his team looks so good is because he is the perfect captain and leader and speads the ball around beautifully.
