"May I see your receipt, sir?"

Was in a diamond jewelry store on several occasions and treated with great respect and courtesy. Much more than some Walmarts I've been in.
It's just the hired help that cause a lot of lack of respect/courtesy problems. Paying $6-$7 an hour doesn't buy quality help these days.
My view is if you treat me poorly, you won't see me again.
Never, ever put up with poor treatment in any retail transaction!
Take your money and leave!

You are partially right, but in reality it is the management of the retailer that does not give the employee the proper training and distinguishes what is good customer service (courtesy/respect and what is poor service. But sometimes you just can't teach common sense......
