After losing all four starting linebackers following the 2014 season, Maryland was looking at Abner Logan as a very likely replacement at one of the spots. Unfortunately, a significant injury has nixed that notion.

Head coach Randy Edsall announced Wednesday via Twitter that Logan sustained a torn ACL during a recent summer camp practice session that was non-contact in nature as the Terps have yet to don pads. As a result of the injury, Logan will miss the entire 2015 season.

Logan was suspended for the first six games of the 2014 season by the university for unspecified reasons. He came back to play the final seven games of the year.

In 2013 as a redshirt freshman, he started four of the 12 games in which he played. Following a strong performance in spring practice this year, he entered camp as the favorite to start at one of the outside linebacker spots.

Signing a contract this morning and came across this bit of language:

Moral Terpitude-conduct that is considered contrary to community standards of justice, honesty or good morals. I immediately thought of this thread.

Watching Maryland play Michigan in soccer at Maryland on BTN right now, and I hear some fans sing "We don't gave a damn for the whole state of Michigan". I thought it a bit odd that a fair amount of Buckeye fans would be in Maryland watching the Terps play the weasels, then I heard "we're from Ma-ry-land".

I'm starting to like the Terps more and more.
After their brilliant trolling of the Pedsters last year, now they're taking on the Fighting Jimbos!
Fine addition to the B1G!

Randy Edsall learned of a Maryland players-only meeting on B1G conference call five hours later

Players on a team in any sport tend to have a players only meeting when the going gets rough. This is absolutely not a rarity in sports, including college football. What is peculiar, or perhaps telling, is when a players only meeting is held and the coach has absolutely no clue about it.

Maryland head coach Randy Edsall learned of a Maryland players only meeting today when he was asked about the meeting by a reporter on the weekly Big Ten coaches conference call.

Maryland coach Randy Edsall asked about reports of players-only meeting: "that’s news to me. I don’t think we had a players only meeting."

Sounds like the coach "is out of the loop" and/or doesn't know what is going on with his team.

As some posters on @Maryland247 pointed out, Edsall seemed to misinterpret Forrest Gump's quote
