Ohio State’s second Big Ten game at the Horseshoe will kick off in the late afternoon.
The Big Ten announced Monday that the Buckeyes’ Oct. 10 matchup with Maryland will kick off at 4:15 p.m. on Big Ten Network. The game previously had potential kickoff times ranging from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Eleven Dubgate 14 will be held before the game, starting at 1 p.m. behind the Varsity Club on the corner of Tuttle Park Place and Norwich Ave.
The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman reported in August that Ohio State vs. Oregon is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS, though the Big Ten has not yet made that time official. With Ohio State vs. Michigan already scheduled for noon on FOX, that leaves Ohio State vs. Northwestern as the Buckeyes’ only remaining opportunity for a home game with a later kickoff — and presumably, the only chance for the program to debut its Tunnel Vision all-black uniforms under the lights at Ohio Stadium.
Maryland lost to UCLA 54-3 at home this past weekend, dropping the Terrapins to 2-2. Second-year quarterback Malik Washington threw four interceptions, while Maryland also fumbled twice. Mike Locksley, who fell to 39-51 as the Terps’ head coach, vowed to turn the program around.

Ohio State is a 35-Point Favorite Over Maryland

Ohio State's second Big Ten home game isn't expected to be a close one.

The Buckeyes have opened as 37.5-point favorites over Maryland, a number that has fallen to 35.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook and 34.5 on FanDuel.

Ohio State is 4-1 on the season and also 4-1 against the spread, including 2-1 ATS at home. The only time the Buckeyes haven't covered this season was in their 42-19 win over Illinois in Week 4, a game OSU was favored by 25.5 points.

Maryland, meanwhile, is 2-3 on the season and 2-3 ATS, including 1-1 ATS on the road. The Terrapins have not covered in each of their last three games (all losses) after covering the spread in (and winning) their first two games of the season.

In Week 4, Maryland lost to UCLA, 54-3, in a game the Terrapins were only 1.5-point underdogs. The 49.5-point swing is one of the largest in history. Maryland has lost 10 straight Big Ten games after winning their conference opener over Wisconsin on Sept. 20, 2025.

The over/under opened at 54.5 points overnight, which quickly rose to 55.5 points, where it currently stands.

Just sayin': That comes out to around a 45 -10 Ohio State win......:boogie:

51-7 or worse this week.

JJ probably only plays a half. Need Henry, Mcuin, Inniss and White Lightning to have their best games going forward. Oline build on this week's good performance. Needs to be moving towards great quickly.

We've also got this 1 last week to fix the run fits, the shitty tackling and the ridiculous mental mistakes on Defense. After this week they'll cost us wins. Get it fixed! Pass rush was a hell of a lot better this week but still not great either.
