Ohio State’s Home Game Against Maryland Set for 4:15 Kickoff on Big Ten Network​

Ohio State’s second Big Ten game at the Horseshoe will kick off in the late afternoon.
The Big Ten announced Monday that the Buckeyes’ Oct. 10 matchup with Maryland will kick off at 4:15 p.m. on Big Ten Network. The game previously had potential kickoff times ranging from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Eleven Dubgate 14 will be held before the game, starting at 1 p.m. behind the Varsity Club on the corner of Tuttle Park Place and Norwich Ave.
The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman reported in August that Ohio State vs. Oregon is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS, though the Big Ten has not yet made that time official. With Ohio State vs. Michigan already scheduled for noon on FOX, that leaves Ohio State vs. Northwestern as the Buckeyes’ only remaining opportunity for a home game with a later kickoff — and presumably, the only chance for the program to debut its Tunnel Vision all-black uniforms under the lights at Ohio Stadium.
Maryland lost to UCLA 54-3 at home this past weekend, dropping the Terrapins to 2-2. Second-year quarterback Malik Washington threw four interceptions, while Maryland also fumbled twice. Mike Locksley, who fell to 39-51 as the Terps’ head coach, vowed to turn the program around.
