IMO it's better offense than bad defense.
That's fair, but they do look much more prepared and better overall. Multiple defenders around the ball on run plays. LBers making plays. DBs breaking up passes.
How many times did we see the defense in a position where if a guy missed a tackle, it was going to be a long run those first 3 weeks versus the last two weeks.
They'll have their issues in games, and there is still lots of improvement with tackling and reading certain plays needed, but it's not normal to see this kind of improvement this quickly after a game like Oregon IMO. So I get what you mean, but it's more than I could've expected.
Williams is a beast, damn.
