I hadn't been to the Schott to see a game for years. Naturally, I picked this season to make the trip.

At least I saw a win (Providence).

Used to be a requirement for Matta. It was ugly at times, but you could expect some dog fights on defense and trust them to maybe get a stop if needed.

I remember when we had the luxury of not playing Deshaun Thomas as much as a freshman because he couldn't play defense. It caused him to actually become a pretty good defender the next year.
