Seriously, Steve Slaton's highlight film should be Maryland's defense chasing him around the field, set to the exit music from Benny Hill.

A couple things:
1. Maryland has done everything possible to make WVU look good. 4 turnovers, 2 on kickoff returns to set up WVU inside the Terp 20, plus surrendering a kickoff TD of their own.
2. Steve Slaton and Pat White are both sophomores. That's scary that they'll get to do this next year too.
3. The WVU O gets all the pub, and for good reason, because their D ain't all that. They gave up 44 to Louisville last year (yet still won), and for all the mileage the program is getting from beating Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, they were getting monkey stopped for the other 52 minutes of the game after getting up 28-0. Maryland is positively inept on O, and inspite of themselves still managed to score 10 points.
4. Rich Rodriguez has built a high performance machine, but his house of cards will crumble quick if either White or Slaton suffer an injury. I'd still like to see what happens when someone comes out and hits them in the mouth, like Miami and Va Tech used to do prior to the breakup of the old Big East.
5. All that said, I would not want to face this O in a bowl game with this years defense. Last year? No problem. This year? Troy, Teddy, Gonzo ... go out there and score 50, please.
