Mark Sanchez (Philadelphia Eagles)

Honestly.

With every passing day I lose a little more respect for Pete.

How can you tell a kid who's about to sign his name to a contract that will get him set for life, that it is a bad idea and he's making the wrong choice??

It is beyond selfish...it's immature in a way. It is something I would expect out of a fantatical fan who thinks the only decesion for an underclassmen is to come back.

It's hard to like JT any more than I do, but the fact that he basically packed Beanie's bags for him, is another testament to what a great person he is. Pete Carrol would have told Beanie he needed another year to prove he can stay healthy for an entire season.
The difference in JT and PC is stunning in this case. PC (publicly!) tells Sanchez he should stay. JT convinces Gonzo to put his name in the draft.

The next year, one of our biggest problems was lack of WR separation. Gonzo would have been huge for us. And my guess is that JT was only thinking of how great Gonzo was doing in the NFL and how good of a choice it was.

(OK, that's a lie, I'm sure JT was thinking "damn, if only he stayed", but still)

That being said, personally if I'm a GM, there's no way I'm taking Stafford early on. He's simply not an accurate passer and I don't think he will gain accuracy. He's big with a huge arm and that's about it, IMO. If I really need a QB, I'm probably taking Sanchez.

I don't know about that, I heard that Stafford was Petey's number one guy , I don't know how you could pass that up.

And yet he'll get more poon from this picture alone than I will my entire life. He'll also make more from that photo shoot than I will the next year (probably longer). Life just ain't fair I tell ya.
That picture ain't gettin him any poon, his money will.

New York Jets rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez struggled markedly during an Organized Team Activity session today, completing just one of nine passes with one interception during full-team drills, according to Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star-Ledger.

Per the report, Sanchez repeatedly drew criticism from offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer for missing open targets and not reacting well to blitzes. The miscues haven’t discouraged Sanchez, though.

And inside linebacker Bart Scott delivered a few barbs: “You still have the training wheels on, Sanchez. … You’re gonna get somebody killed, Sanchez.”

Plus, Sanchez has been getting teased for his recent GQ Magazine pictorial and his photos are pinned up all over the locker room.

“They called me David Hasselhoff,” Sanchez said. “… The first thing I would say is that it was two months ago. It was one of those things where you’re about to get drafted and you’re going to do a shoot with a supermodel, are you kidding me?
