Mark Richt (ex- UGA & Miami Fla Head Coach)

Stupidiest coach of all time. First and goal from the seven with 15 seconds left in the game, needing a TD, and he doesn't spike the ball but instead runs a hurry-up play that results in an in-bounds completion short of the goal line, running out the clock. Stupid. Fucking. Moron.

Spot on. Only an absolute clown wouldn't have spiked the ball to let his team regroup and take a more relaxed shot at the end zone and the win. When you rush things for several plays in a row, the result tonight is what you get.

Exactly. I just watched the end of the Purdue game and Urban is screaming and motioning at Guiton to spike it when they get a 1st down at the 11 with about 17 seconds left.

Aaron Murray, a junior quarterback, should have a better grasp of the game too, though.

It's crazy to me how consistently these clock management situations are botched, not only in college, but in the NFL as well. I just don't really understand why it's so hard.
