Man vs. Food - Adam Richman

Ain’t nobody got time for that
I am a fat kid at heart and absolutely love this show. It makes me want to take a road trip based solely on visiting some of the restaurants that he has featured. However, some of the eating challenges are absolutely ridiculous. After watching the show it is not hard to see why America is considered the fattest country in the world (Top 5 Fattest Countries in the World, Page 2 of 2 - Associated Content - associatedcontent.com)

Also, I think the host, Adam Richman, is a Buckeye fan. I have seen him wear Ohio State gear on a few shows and he was also wearing a vintage Ohio State shirt when he was a guest on ESPN's First Take. (Man v. Food In Bristol - ESPN Video - ESPN)

Anyone else a fan of this show?

I am big time, but my wife is a dietitian, and thinks it's gross. Then I tell her to shut the fuck up, and make me a 6 lb. Hamburger.

Oh shit, ha ha ha ha. Thankfully, my wife, like me, is also a lover of food. The only difference is that she is blessed with the gift of great metabolism. She can eat all damn day and maintain her 115lb weight. I have to run my ass so that I don't become morbidly obese. I am training for a marathon, not so much to actually run a marathon, but to justify eating whatever the hell I want to eat.

He did a show in Columbus featuring Thurman's, Ohio Deli, and Schmidt's, with some cut scenes at Ohio State tailgates.

Yeah, that was one of the shows I was thinking about. He also wore an Archie Griffin jersey during a show he did in Atlanta. There was one other show where he was sporting tOSU gear, but I can't remember it.

I like the show, but I've kinda moved on to Anthony Bourdain.

I used to DVR MvF, but then I realized it's on about 50 million times a week, so it's not really necessary. It's a good show to settle on when there's nothing else going.

I used to watch it a lot until I realized it was the same thing. Go to a place, eat a bunch of food, then eat something huge/hot.

The last time we were in Columbus we went to the Ohio Deli just to check it out. We walked in, looked at his picture on the wall, then walked out. They weren't too pleased with us

True, the layout of the show doesn't change much, but I watch mainly for the food itself. I live not too far from Kennesaw and am very tempted to get a couple of buddies and try to take down that 11lb pizza. Some people eat to live; I live to eat.

Whenever he eats some insanely hot stuff, my thought is always this: If it burns that bad going in, won't it burn coming out?

I like Bourdain too, though I don't watch his show often. His show adds a bit of an international flair to eating shows.

Anyone here see the episode of Bourdain with Ted Nugent?

No, but I did watch these clips of the show:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_aSglGw88U]YouTube - Anthony Bourdain and Ted Nugent Shooting Machineguns[/ame]
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5OkcRVs5ik]YouTube - Obesity is evil, thus sayeth Ted Nugent and Anthony Bourdain[/ame]

Apparently Ted is not a big fan of fat people :tongue2:

Part of the wedding vows should be, "love, honor, obey and keep your trap shut and make me a sammich"

Darn...I am in trouble now.
