Man Arrested For Not Tipping Waitress Enough

Entitled fucks. How many plates were delivered you fuck, how many refills were delivered you fuck, how much space did your party occupy you fuck, how many busboys had to clear that slop you left behind you fuck, how busy did you keep the bartender (you gets part of the tips) you fuck, and how obnoxious were you dipshits asking for extra ranch?

Everyone needs to wait tables for 1 year. I served my time at Longhorn in Dublin.

I'm sorry, I have no problem at all with tipping for good service, but when the local Oriental buffet adds a 20% tip automatically to the check when all the server does is bring your beverage when you are seated and then clears the couple of plates when you leave, I'm out. Liked their food but won't go back. Also seeing tip requests at a few drive thru windows lately. Really? I don't think so.

How about tipping someone when all the did was turn around and pour coffee into a cup. Which incidentally, is the job itself. Nothing about going above and beyond.

I like to leave good tips. But, im not afraid to not leave a tip either.
A few weeks a go I ordered Grimaldi's for pick-up. I drove to the restaurant and picked my my pies and when I payed there was a tip option. I tipped 0. But when I do go out I tend to tip generously but it's been a while since I went to a sit down restaurant. I've become a seed oil phobic and I know they all use the cheap oil to help their margins.

I get that asking for a tip is annoying, especially when no real 'over-and-above' service is rendered. But when it is, usually am generous with a tip (20-25%). In California, was a law passed that food service workers receive $20 per hour. This goes for McDonald's/Krispy Kreme doughnut makers etc. What it doesn't tell you is that the white table cloth servers were elevated to keep pace, making those meals more expensive as well. Consequently, tipping at fast food dining has dwindled, as have the lines in those eating places (to go car lines as well). Makes the cost of not eating at home more expensive, especially if other wage levels haven't gone up to compensate. Oh, and when I ask, the servers say that management has cut down on number of employees, in order to maintain prices to public. So ultimately, not entirely certain that economic growth has really occurred.

I usually bring my own salad dressing when I go out, for the same reason. (Seed oil)

Still manage a restaurant one day a week (it's a resort here in NH) so I've been around tip "culture " since I was 15. It's also how I paid for 100% of my undergrad. Now I just do it to pay down the principal on my home....

That being said, if I am standing-no tip for you.

Doesn't the government automatically tax you 10% for every tab your name's attached too? That's why it's standard 15-20%, the government has already claimed 10% of it.

In fairness, if I go to such a buffet it’s serious business and the server ends up filling my water glass 5-6 times and clearing a dozen plates or more during my repeated absences from the table as I get refills.
