From the time he took a seat, arms folded and regularly looking up and down at his parents, very nervous and awkward moment for him. It's not going to be pleasant in the McDowell household for few days. Even longer if things don't work out in East Lansing.

Wish th kid best of luck though.

Glad for McDowell. Ultimately he should attend the school he wants. He's the one who has to spend 3-5 years there, not his parents. MSU is a good place. I'm embarrassed for his parents and they way they publicly called out their own son over this.

It isn't sour grapes when I say this, but I didn't want him here if this isn't a place where he wanted to be. The Buckeyes never would have got the best out of him under those circumstances.

Based on his mom's concerns, it seems like there are some red flags that would likely be heightened if he was coerced into going someplace he doesn't want to.

@rivalsmike: Looks like the impasse continues in the McDowell family, source told me letter hasn't been signed and @JoshHelmholdt has confirmed.
