As many times as he's been to scUM....nevermind. I could give a rat's ass if he comes to Ohio State or not. I just figured some people would find it interesting. Oh well...

Why do people expect a kid from scum to decide on the spot for OSU, and get mad at him while he is still considering OSU? Good grief, this guy will be Nate Clements before he even steps on campus.

I'm not sure what site published this quote from Mr. Hairston but I pulled this today from BN regarding the Malik situation....


“After looking over all of the schools involved in Malik’s recruitment, we feel that Kansas, Michigan and UCLA are the three schools that Malik would fit in best at. None of the schools have been eliminated, but after going over all the positives and negatives, those three standout the most.”

The first thing you need to do is not assume what I meant. At the end of the day there are a lot more important things than where one kid decides to play ball. Much like I didn't care when Fred Davis chose USC I wont care when Malik Hairston chooses scUM or whatever other school he chooses to go to. That was my point. I know others have been following his recruitment, I read an article that stated he was visiting scUM which I interpret as good news for the weasels so I was merely passing it along.

But I have seen other people complain and whine about it, as if he decommited from OSU or something.

Anyone who doubts this should go to Bucknuts and read some of the vitriol being directed against him.

No worries. You won't find me getting upset that a kid's taking too long to decide where he wants to go to school or wish a kid harm because he chooses to go to somewhere other than Ohio State. Malik and any other kid can take as long as they want and can go wherever they want. You hope they make the right choice and pick the Buckeyes but people make mistakes all the time :wink:

Consider yourself on "double secret probation" (now you can laugh) and know that attacks on our personnel and our site will not be tolerated (that goes for anybody else who feels the need to "pile on" if this college choice is anywhere but OSU; we will be watching very closely and will have no tolerance for such comments).

I don't mean to be a Bucknuts defender, but this idiot came on there and started ripping Buckaholic. Buckaholic has never guaranteed that Malik is coming to OSU or anything of the sort. He is just acting on the best information he has available just as all of the recruiting people are. If I was Bucknuts, I would ban half of the snots on that basketball board.

I cancelled my BN subscription. If you disagree with the BN staff and express it in a post you get banned. Talking about controlling the BN website to promote a one-sided point of view. Truth and opinion isn't as important as getting new subscribers who agree with BN.

The flamer that posted, was just trying to stir a muck. A blanket statement that had no substanial backing. Reporting is done responcibly and percise, by Kyle. He has to stick to his guns, or he will get attacked by anybody that doesn't like the smallest detail. The situation isn't in his hands.
