Comparable?

Comparable?

:shake:

I'm not saying that in a three-way throwdown between Tressel, Ditka, and Hurricane Ditka that Tressel wouldn't win - but it's close enough to be an epic battle. Plus, Ditka would fight dirty. Ditka would be the Young Nasty Man to Tressel's Wonderboy.

Yost, the man responsible for ND not being in the BIG10.

Dude, Bob Toledo is responsible for that shit. Bob Toledo is also Fielding Yost's biological father.

or a quarterback sitting in a dorm with a crisp $500 bill in his back pocket provided by a booster (Mo’ money mo’ problems!)

Go on, you great silver nuts, ignore the fact that you are 57-39 against your archrivals, or only 5th all-time on the wins list; a little creative denial will allow you to be arrogant about your 5 year record. Keep believing that you’re an elite program and the benchmark of the Big-10, even though you haven’t even won your own conference since 2002. (Why can’t you even win your division?)

I didn't know they made a $500 bill? And when did the conference go to divisions? Did I miss something? Aren't we co-champs this year? Maybe the Scum fan believes they are in a parallel universe. Hardly worth reading this crap since it has so many factual errors!!!!:(

fyi, I've spent some time on michigan boards lately, and a lot of them have mentioned the "Nebraska will be champs" thing just like this email suggested.let's see, wilson, pitcock, patterson, jenkins, mitchell. well I got 5 for him, and even those were a stretch, as they have started in a game before.
Don't forget Laurinaitis...so that makes 6 on defense that have started, plus Trapasso makes 7...without going to the offense in which we only lost 3 key guys, all of who that have experienced guys replacing them, all with lots of game experience. If you want to say that we lost Hamby, Schnittker, Holmes, Sims, and Mangold on offense and therefore only have 6 returning on offense, you are nuts. 6+2 of the original guys that we had starting at the begining of last year are back. So 8 total. But by the time the season was over...we've only got about 5 spots that are going to be filled with guys with not much experience. So you could be stupid and say we have 8 returning starters...or pay attention and know it's more like having at least 15 or 16 returning starters.

The only true starters we return on defense are Pitcock and Patterson...the others started only because of injuries or special circumstances.

Our returning starters on offense are Smith, Pittman, White, Ginn, Datish, Downing, and Barton.

That makes nine returning starters for the team.

We used so much 3-wide that I'd count Gonzo on offense.

And for the scUM write-up, how does being in the top-5 for wins all-time not qualify tOSU as an 'elite team'?

Not to be too picky, here, but if you're going to count Gonzo as a starter, I think that you need to not count Stan White Jr as a starter. So Mili's number of returning starters (whatever that was, I forget) stays the same. I guess you can call them both returning starters if you say that the Bucks start 3 WR's, 1 FB, and 1 TB (no TE's). So.. um.. nevermind.

I realize I was stretching a little, but only including true starters also leaves out guys like gonzo who has two years of experience in a 3 wr set.

defensive non-starters who are a fairly proven commodity:
Patterson, Wilson, Jenkins, Mitchell* (I'm giving him the nod thx to 04 exp as well)

  • We're 27-25-2 against Michigan over the last 54 years. I could care less about records from 1890-1930.
  • Gee, being #5 of all-time isn't "elite"? What constitutes "elite" then? I guess having the best record in all of major football over the last 75 years means shit.
  • Uh, we won the conference again this year, dumbshit.
  • By the way, the Big Ten isn't a division, moron.
