Missing from sporting goods/cycling - DK Bicycles. The mail-order RTA stuff is made overseas now, but single parts and build-to-order "pro" bikes are still hand made in Dayton. Either way, it's a family owned Ohio company and everything is designed and engineered in Ohio.

Missing from sporting goods/paintball - Airgun Designs.

How many employees did they have in Lancaster in their heyday vs. now? My grandparents lived in the 1200 E block of Main Street and that big glass plant was a happening place back in the 60's.

No idea what the figures were back in the early 80s, but two of the three plants are now closed and the retail outlets disappeared over 10 years ago. There's one plant and the distribution center still running, but I believe they only employ around 600.

That site is a voluntary effort - I'm sure they'd take new submissions and add them to the lines in the directories.

I'll take Oxxford instead.

Made like nothing else in the world. Suits begin at about $3,000, but look to pay at least $4k for something really nice.

Funny story - was going through a Goodwill some years back, before a halloween party. Saw an Oxxford herringbone sports coat. Wrong size (whoever had this originally was very, very big).

They wanted $20 for the piece.

The coat actually fit another party shopper, but he took one look at the label and declared, "A fake!, they can't even spell the name right!"
