I just read the first post, and it's not completely closed. However, I think that putting a player on IR takes them out for the whole season, so you're stuck with your shitty backups, unless you want to trade for my shitty backup...I'll take one of your right tackles for Derek Anderson.

lol nah

I think I can manage with Jordan Palmer, I only have to play 1 more user vs user game with him, Carson will be back before I play the Browns again

I am playing my game and in the third quarter I get a server error that my score and stats will not be recorded. Thats dumb, never been disconnected while playing the CPU before.

It happened to me, too. It happened to me last week as well. It looks like EA's shitty servers went haywire.

I don't know enough about the gameplay to form an intelligent opinion, but everything else about the online franchise mode has been less than impressive.

There's really not any type of franchise management. No ticket pricing. No salary cap, No trading with the CPU or signing free agents because the AI is too stupid to prevent the exploits. I mean, how hard is it to set a value for each player and install a salary cap?

Also, WTF is up with bad servers taking out games against the CPU? Was this another brilliant nugget from EA that backfired?

It certainly is underwhelming, even for a first-time effort. Why couldn't the online franchise have the same trade logic as offline franchises? Why is it so hard to include salary caps and free agent priorities? Why can't we import draft classes? Since we can't, why can't the Madden-created draft classes work the same online as offline?

This isn't really an online franchise. It's more of an online series of Play Now games. Still fun though.

I'm just looking forward to the playoffs, that's the big separator from NCAA. I must admit I was hoping for a much better experience coming from EA's flagship. But maybe I held EA in too high of regard and maybe they are just this bad.
