majorpayne27;1520472; said:I prefer the 24-rule simply because I think having deadlines promotes people trying to snipe guys right before the deadline, which is kinda lame in my opinion.
I know some people had concerns about it taking forever, but I don't really think it will. I would be surprised if the "Matt Jones" bidding war didn't end by tomorrow morning at 5:35AM under the 24-hour model.
Also, at the year's end, do signed free agents revert from their auction point values back to their "rating point-system" values, or will they always count at their auction value?

Piney;1520481; said:I do agree the 24 hour rule should still stand, that's why I bid on Harrison since his 24 hour window was expiring in a few hours.
Smooth Olaf;1520480; said:The 24 hour rule has some flaws, that's for sure. I just want to avoid the sneaky signing if you know what I mean.
Here's an idea for after the season. How about a 24 hour rule from the first bid, but the final bid has to be in place for four hours? If I bid for Randy Moss and Piney outbids me 23 hours later, then we have four-hour windows until it's over. We can even include the BP Mock Draft rule that pretty much suspends the countdown clock from 10pm to 8am every night.
