LSU’s Joe Brady wins Broyles Award as nation’s top assistant
Of all the awards that will be announced this month, this will be the least surprising result.
Tuesday afternoon, LSU passing-game coordinator Joe Brady was named as the winner of the 2019 Broyles Award, given annually to the nation’s top assistant coach. Brady, considered the overwhelming favorite coming into the announcement, Dave Aranda in 2011 as the only Tiger assistants to win claim the honor.

Just sayin': Well, Joe Burrow winning the Heisman won't be a shocker either.

Just sayin': Well, Joe Burrow winning the Heisman won't be a shocker either.

No problem with Brady winning the Broyles and no problem with Jeaux in the next few days winning the Heisman, the O'Brien, and the Walter Camp.
I do expect Buckeyes to win a few other awards, though.

The mini melt of the day on tigerdroppings is Aranda being mentioned as a candidate for the UNLV job. There were hundreds of posts during the year that he should be fired.

They also went nuts over Hafley referring to Joe Brady as "wonder boy" despite the fact that the term was used multiple times when Brady was introduced. LSU fans see disrespect in every word said about one of theirs. They take insecurity to another level.

However, the reason most were so upset was the timing of it all with recruiting. Quite frankly, I was upset about it for that very reason.
I mean, wait 10 days. We can replace Aranda. But this recruiting class is too important to frick up.
And I get a HC gig is a step up, but it should be noted UNLVs last HC came from the High School ranks. Show some pride, Dave.
