one of those 3 losses was the best team in Miss State history (Dak Prescott 2014).

the other two are 2017 (a 30 pt beat down in Starkvegas) and last night.

in a nutshell, here is the LSU vs Miss St series
in 1999, Mississippi State won 10 games for first time since WWII.
LSU broke the school record for consecutive losses and went 3-8.

There is a fucking banner at their stadium for a 1 point victory over us that year.

a top 3 team in their teams history against a bottom 3 team in our school history.
1 point victory.

they hung a banner.

Late in the game and a Miss State Db makes a helmet on helmet hit on an LSU receiver who ducked his head. Went through review and ruled a clean hit. I'm flashing back and thinking of the hit Wade put on Lawrence - who ducked - and Lawrence gets the call - and the game turns in a heartbeat.
