Judge William Jorden approved a preliminary injunction that prohibits the NCAA and SEC from punishing any school that signs and plays the 42 athletes who sued the NCAA in Louisiana state court to play a fifth and final season of college sports. Judge William "Will" Jorden sits at the 19th Judicial Courthouse located at 300 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.
Just sayin': It's 4.4 miles from the LSU campus, That's what you call a real "home field advantage"......

Re: The athletes are privately represented by prominent Louisiana trial attorneys, including Baton Rouge prosecutor Tony Clayton, who argued the case in state court. Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill also stepped in to support the athletes, filing an amicus brief on their behalf and using state resources to back the player-friendly push against the NCAA and SEC.
Coach Lane Kiffin has publicly denied orchestrating the lawsuits, claiming that the ex-NFL players pursued the eligibility challenges completely independently with their own legal counsel........
Just sayin': The other guys just got a "free ride" on the coat tails of the LSU players.

Folks who track such things last week were estimating that Jack Pyburn could make around $1 million in 2026 if he was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and allowed to return to college at LSU. Except, well, the Kansas City Chiefs had other plans.The Chiefs on Monday afternoon claimed the linebacker off waivers from the Bucs, per the NFL waiver wire.
That means Pyburn's NFL career continues as a member of the Chiefs' 53-man roster.
It also means Pyburn is seemingly headed for a pay cut by being in the NFL rather than back in college.
Yes, crazy world.
Pyburn's rookie salary is scheduled to be $885,000. And that is less than the $1 million he was expected to make in college.

Pyburn, by the way, reportedly informed LSU that he is withdrawing his name from the ongoing eligibility lawsuit and will remain in the NFL – not that the Chiefs gave him a choice, really.
