LSU Tigers (official thread)

man, I really and truly feel sorry for this kid.
from everything I've ever read, he really is a good dude. worked his ass off to climb from being "not good enough" to being able to transfer to his dream school, to being a team captain and looking forward to NFL Draft. Earned a degree in the process.
I really hate what has happened to this guy and was praying for a better outcome for him.

but from reading that article, I'm not sure what grounds he has to stand on with his misdiagnosis.

and ordinarily healthy athlete showed symptoms that could very easily be missed as dehydration during camp (especially in the weather Baton Rouge has in August), or Vertigo. He even did an interview while battling this saying the Vertigo meds helped and made him feel a lot better.

Brain Tumor is just not very high on the list of likely issues, so it's not something that gets looked for until (like Brooks) symptoms persist over time.

and as far as coaching staff saying he could lose his starting spot if he misses too much practice, I mean that's pretty standard procedure for any player that misses any amount of time for any reason.
If you're not healthy enough to practice, you're probably not healthy enough to play.
Or if you miss too much practice but are healthy by game day, whoever has been practicing in your spot is likely more prepared for that game than you are.

now as far as the surgeon or any malpractice, I have zero medical background, so have no clue about any of that part.
