Anybody catch Les Miles' presser yesterday? He invoked the "we traveled 2,000 and across time zones" argument. I guess it's only a stupid argument when people use it against the SEC and southern bowl teams.

Les learned that argument from coaching under Bo.

i have no clue how much of a difference a log flight makes, or the time zone difference (farthest i've ever been from home is 1 time zone).

i can tell you this, i wasn't all that impressed by our performance saturday night.
don't know the reason, and ain't even gonna try to guess why we looked like shit.
just hope they fix it, and fix it SOON.

My honest opinion, having lived out of a suit case for a couple years, is that jet lag is incredibly overrated in the continental US, barring a noon kick.

When the team flies-in two days ahead and doesn't play until 8:00pm local time, time zone adjustment becomes just an excuse. Now there is certainly something to be said for the hotel stay and the busing and all the rest that goes into a team being out of their comfort zone, but travel distance should be a non-factor for anyone other than Hawaii, a team going to Hawaii, or a four time-zone trip with a high noon kickoff.

I think elevation/altitude of the venue and climate are bigger factors than travel distance, and climate is probably overrated for big time BCS schools.
