Has Les Miles only became Mr. Unpopular since he went to LSU or does this include his days at Oklahoma State?

1) Oklahoma state is Oklahoma state, they aren't anything special, they fall behind Texas and Oklahoma in recruits, so he was at a disadvantage.

2) He's scUM alum, yeah, he's not going to be popular here.

3) He's trash talked every other conference, he's arrogant in his post game press confrences.

My point, he's garbage, he's always been garbage, just no one cared before.

LOOK at the way he was screaming at that ref.

Classless.

That's what did it for me. The moment I saw that, I was done with him. Whether you agree with the call or not, thats not the way to behave in front of your players and fans.

LOL you'd think he'd murdered a kitten with some of these posts on here.

I'm very happy that Les Miles is LSU's coach and I hope he stays here for a long time, although Michigan is going to try very hard to get him probably.

And to the guy angry about him arguing with the ref... sorry to burst your bubble but ALL coaches argue with refs.

LSU/Ohio St in the NC would be a great game, two great defenses and solid offenses. But a lot of football still left to be played... we have a tough game at Alabama that Saban has probably had circled for a long time. And then Arkansas, who haven't been very good but have one of the best players in college football. And after those two and Louisiana Tech/Ole Miss, there is the SEC Championship game, which could very well have us facing Florida once again. You guys have a tough road too. So for now let's just hope that our teams make it to the NC.

I saw a dead cat on the freeway, I suspect LM ran it over.

Honestly, I don't know how I feel about this, SEC is a lot more lenient about personal fouls than the Big10 as we can see by Ron Zook, he's used to getting away with a lot more but here that doesn't happen.

I think we all realize that, however, Tressel is a lot more calm about it when you see it. Is that different? No, however, the veins bulging out of the forehead and looking like you are going to turn into the incredible hulk is going to get comments.

I just hope for more fun in the college football season. I will admit I don't like Les Miles, he's trash talked every other conference and if a player did that it would be called unsportsmanlike, however, since it's a coach it's OK? I realize this is how the SEC coaches play the polls and it works, but that doesn't mean I need to agree with it. There's been videos, comments and even announcers say that LSU does a lot of dirty plays. Hell, even tonight I saw plays, including a certain first down that anyone could see was short if it had been challenged, that just make me say "what the hell??"

Part of me wants him to stay at LSU, we already have one dirty SEC coach here, however, another part of me wants him to take the tsun job so that I can have more reason to hate that school.

Man Les Miles is an arrogant son of a bitch.

I would almost hate that call at the end of the game tonight, as an LSU fan. I mean you are a tipped pass, deflection, or bobbled ball away from running out of time and losing that game. A 40 yard field goal at home is a reasonable bet to win, especially with Colt David's leg.

It worked against Florida, and he got lucky tonight, but one of these days Miles' gambling and arrogant playcalling is going to come back and bite him in the ass.

Why did everyone bet LSU on this game? TT is awesome against top 5 teams on the road and he's even better when they are more than 10 pt dogs. If I hadn't bet my wad on FLA this was the other "lock of the week"

Um, we're the dirty team? Go watch the game again. Auburn chop blocked our best player, Glenn Dorsey, could've ended his season right there. Instead he was lucky to only be out for the game.

As for the bad spot that got us a first down, my question is, is it our fault that Auburn was too dumb to challenge that? I'm not arguing it was the perfect spot, he was clearly a bit short, but Auburn could have challenged that and didn't do it. Their idiocy is not our fault.

And the final play, if you watch it he caught it at about 3 seconds left on the clock, if he had dropped it or anything they would have called a timeout immediately and kicked a field goal.

Also, I've only seen Miles trash talk the Pac-10, could you give me a link or something to him trash talking others? Not saying you're wrong, but I've only heard stuff he's said about Pac-10.

As for Miles, he's not perfect by any means. But he's only lost 5 games in 2 and a half years. He demolished Miami in a bowl game his first year, and Notre Dame his second year. And posted identical 11-2 records. Also got us possibly the best recruiting class ever last year. And now LSU is a national championship contender with a 7-1 record. So yes, he says some stupid things and makes some bad decisions during games, but he plays to win and he's done very well as LSU's coach.

I am not going to bother debating the rest of your post. I am pretty buzzed and don't want to get all stupid. I think my post came across in a way I didn't really intend.

The SEC allows a lot more "physical play" than any other conference. Look at how Zook is getting flags now, he's built a great team, but the Big10 is not going to tolerate stuff that you can get away with in the SEC. Is it right? Is it dirty? From my point of view it's dirty, and just because another team in your conference is dirty that doesn't make it right.

As for the SEC is > * talk it's pretty much the entire conference for the past 3 years, I lumped miles in, and in your defense, that's not fair and I will step back and say I was out of line with that statement. He has said that the SEC is the best college football conference but I am sure we can find a quote from one coach or another in every conference saying something to that nature.

And last note: You're right, TT could have challenged it, but well, there's a reason that Auburn is Auburn.
