LSU 28, Florida 24 (final)

I'm sure Florida fans will be disappointed. But let's remember, they have at least 16 players in their two-deep who are freshmen or sophomores. That's a lot of players to replace.

Wait a minute, how many underclassmen do the Buckeyes have in their two-deep?

The talking heads made a big deal out of Meyer's failure to call a time-out until 29 seconds had elapsed...

But there was another time-out that he could/should have taken that would have saved even more.

When Florida stopped LSU on 3rd down at about the 6, I was thinking that making that stop and NOT calling a time-out afterward might cost UF the game. Quite a lot of time ticked off the clock before that 4th down play.

If UF had simply given up the first down on the 3rd down play they would have been better off. As it was, not calling the time-out there (and waiting so long to call one later) were both real head-scratcher decisions. What was he thinking?

With an extra minute, who knows what might have happened.

Goodness gracious! USC melt down, Cal on an off week. Welcome to the top 3 Buckeyes!. A Gator win would have been beautiful, but we're still cool. I don't know how else we can prove ourselves without gettin the SEC's best (the "big ten is down crowd"). Bring on the corndogs! If LSU blows it(which I doubt), I'd love to play the Pac10's best. I want to get fired up, but the fact still remains that we have some very hard games left. Wisco, PSU and ILL will give us their all. The last two weeks have been insane! (after that I think we have another game> skunk bears?)

(I just saw on sportscenter that ND won a game. congrats JC. heisman!)

Yeah, that can improve with time, will be interesting to see how he plays out through the years to come. Overall, I was kind of disapointed with how the game was called but got what I expected, a decent football game. Florida could have won if they had actually played the second half like they played the first half.

I may be bitter, but I wouldn't root for the Gators of they were the last team on earth. Glad that LSU and Auburn closed the Gator fans' loud mouths.:slappy:

I know that it would have made things easier to get to the NC if they'd won, but then again, USC did lose. We'll just have to get there some other way.

Hay-sus Christos, that was a game. Just got back from Red Stick, and about to take a shower and rid myself of the smell of corn dogs.

Hard to talk about this game. I mean, I think that LSU is the better team by a nose, and that a good LSU kicker would have taken the suspense out of it a bit. Then again, if we stop the turn overs we win the game, so maybe we are as good as them?? But then, we can't stop a fucking 3rd and 18. A very emotional game, and a tough loss. But I was proud of the effort our young team put forth, and ultimately I guess, we don't have the ability to get that surge in the line that stops the one yard run or makes the qb not able to step into the pocket. We're a year off.

Finally, all I know is, Les Miles wasn't going to get laid tonight, but he went for it on 4th down and made it.

Congrats on a great win tonight Bucks. I'm sad that it looks like we won't play each other again this year. Watch out for that freaking Zooker guy - who'd a thunk?

:::Groan:::

I can tell you this.....yelling at him from section 643 of Tiger Stadium to take a time out on the third down stop did not work out so good tonight. Dammit!!

Daddy, you are 100% f-ing right. ARRGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's bull. Tebow showed me a lot. He has a really solid arm and makes very solid reads given his limited experience. Only a true sophomore, he took it to #1 LSU in their house. I think he'll be the Heisman front-runner next year and deservedly-so. I really don't see how you can knock his performance.
