LSU 23, Ole Miss 25 (final)

i never thought i would come close to what I felt after the '94 Auburn game again, but this is in the ballpark.

actually in the dugout.

probably more like in the batter's box.

I have to say that the '94 game was much worse. Each and every fourth quarter interception and pick-six was a separate bone headed call worthy of the time out fiasco. This was maybe two fuck ups in the last twenty seconds, while the decision to keep throwing in '94 was a repetitive brain fart lasting the entire quarter.

So just to recap, correct me if I"m wrong.

17 seconds left and LSU tries to call a timeout. Doesn't get it until 9 seconds left? Converts the 4th & 26th then spikes the ball with :01 to go?

Just getting the facts straight, having a small tiff with a couple friends on exactly who's fault this game is. Not that I'm a devoted follower of LSU, but youtube doesn't tell all.

1st and 10 at the 32 (within FG range) with 2 timeouts in pocket

1st down, pass (almost sacked) thrown away
2nd down, another pass play, sacked. timeout
3rd down, screen pass for loss of seven 23 seconds to go
tick, tick, tick, tick, tick
finally a timeout with :09 on clock.

throw hail mary, falls short but is caught at 6 yard line with :01 left

QB standing behind center staring at sideline as ref puts ball in play.
clock ticks to zero before snap, not that it mattered since the play call was to spike it.

end of game, we lose, Tiger faithful are on the verge of revolting

The third down tackle was with about 26 seconds left. 17 seconds is a number being mentioned because it's how long Les took to get the timeout at 9.
