Lost a good friend today

That sucks CC. I lost my best buddy of 20 years this year when he od'd. Was a marathon runner who got hooked on oxycontin for his bad back. Ruined his life. Remember the good time, and try to help his family. As hard as it is to think about, pray for the 18 year old kid and his family too. Could have been me or you at that age. He will live the rest of his life with this. In many way, as bad a fate as checking out in an instant.

Wow, that sucks. Sorry about the loss of your friend CCI. I hope the asshat in the pickup realizes that his trying to save 5 minutes by passing a semi has cost someone his life. People are in far too much of a hurry anymore.

The story CCI linked to says the driver of the truck was attempting to pass a semi on SR-117 north of Bellefontaine at 6:30am. I've driven that road hundreds of times and there are not too many safe places to pass... I've seen many close calls when drivers get impatient following traffic that is slower than 60-65MPH (speed limit is 55)... my guess is the driver of the pickup truck was doing just that and didn't see the motorcycle.

thanks all that have replied and showed support. Yeah today has brought alot of memories back, so I am calling family of his and old high school buddies to get together for the funeral and all, palbarers, ect...
