Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

It’s all over the place, but I’m hearing Texas A&M is the team to watch.
Georgia would make some sense but man their offense can be anemic at times. I’m not sure that’s the wagon u hitch onto as a QB.
USC would obviously also make sense but what a dagger that’d be.
I’m gonna guess it’s A&M with Jimbo and their insane NIL $$$ but we’ll see.

I'm guessing that he sees all the NIL money the new recruits are getting and wants some of the action. Maybe he's just trying to leverage OU for more NIL deals or maybe he already has been contacted by a school, (i.e. their designated NIL booster) and made an offer he can't refuse. billmac91 could be right, Jimbo might be getting his QB.

The game really changed with the transfer portal and NIL; if a school wants to compete with the "big boys" they better have a vault full of money.

Daniel Gabriel; 3 star rating, see stats: https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4427238/dillon-gabriel

Caleb Williams: 5 star rating, see stats: https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4431611/caleb-williams

Which one do you think has the biggest upside? Gabriel isn't chopped liver, but I'd take Williams.

It would be interesting to know if Venables' intensions in bringing in Gabriel is to replace Williams, compete with Williams, or back up Williams. I'm guessing that Williams wanted more NIL money (maybe to equal what another school has already offered) and OU didn't offer/match it; so he's out of Norman and going to the highest bidder:

I’m guessing everyone on this board has changed jobs for more money, better hours, less commute or some other “what’s in it for me” reason.

Wrong! I am still the head nacho chip fry cook at Taco Bell because of loyalty to THE Bell. Kids these days, am I right?

When I was a kid and they handed you that first hair net with your own name tag....goosebumps.

I can't believe kids would trade that for something as common as more money.
