Look Who's Transferring Now (The Basketball Portal)

Also like the one-year variety, with the two-year variety you have to bury them deep on bench to run them off. If they don't pan out. We'll see how well Diebs recruits on his own, or he hires in a fantastic recruiter. We've got three bigs coming back, two proven and one still learning the trade. After upcoming year, two are gone (probably), so another big, MOBILE banger is necessary. A solid four is necessary, as saw Okpara/Zed sandwiched by twin 6'10" several times, losing the RB pretty much always. Oh yeah, can I add good-to-great shooting ability to that four as well? A ball handling 3 would also be welcome. Someone who can keep their motor going until they lose their man, stop, pop, and swish their shot. Towards the end, saw too many Buckeyes avoid taking the shot, afraid they'd miss. Pack in another 1 and 2, as believe Thornton will be in his final year upcoming, as he heads for the pros. Others are far better at recruiting than I, but I'd like to see more Ohio-born-bred kids suiting up in scarlet and gray. Seems like our best get swayed to the blue-bloods more often than not. Go Bucks!

And so goes the opening salvo for Oakland's big man. Sets the floor for negotiations, methinks. Cannot blame them/him. Wasn't this the guy that moonlighted (moonlit?) for Uber to pay his way to college? Another dumb question. Oakland is a college in Michigan, right? Know it's not one in California, but seem to recollect it's a place that routinely plays UX, MSU, tOSU in the basketball preseason. Interesting that the coach flogs one of his players to leave.

I think maybe Gohlke the Oakland 3-point sniper is who you had in mind. Townsend has been there 4 years. Yes, Oakland is in that state up north.

Well yeah! Folks, it's now about the Benjamins. Pure and simple. He who has the gold makes the rules. Money talks, BS walks. Read where Texas boosters called Sark and told him there's a RB, WR, ? they need to recruit, because he has a NIL deal. (probably a booster relative?). The way that money is going out the door, you'd think it's bottomless, but it's not. Have no idea whether the $ is like a schollie, one year at a time, or good for four/five years. That's a large financial commitment that was gathered from one-time donations. (never spend one-time money on things that eat), meaning on-going expenses. Now this is before we talk about the big issue of independence, made earlier, where these 'pools' of cash are very much independent from universities. It's from the university's side folks, as it's illegal to make a gift of public funds, given that most of these schools receive some sort of public (state or US funding). You could make a case for a Notre Dame, USC (no public funding?) being exempt, as a private school but that's a minority discussion. Anyway, have reread this post, and decided I'm lecturing. Not the intent, so will close now. Go Bucks
