I'll keep my eye on the page load times.

I think it may be on my end, just haven't figured that out yet. Didn't start till the upgrades.

While I agree it seems like there should be some connection (and there may well be), the things upgraded speaks to how the software (the middle-man) interacts with the server, not really with the way the software interacts with the users.

Do let me know what the bottom of the pages are saying for you. Both normally, and certainly when a page is slow to load for you.

Let me back up a bit as well. If you were having the problems last night and/or the day before, that was almost certainly the result of the mmismm.com problems that came by way of a problematic RealMedia ad that has since been turned off. It's still possible this was the case even if your browser was saying "waiting for www.buckeyeplanet.com," simply because different browsers handle that reporting differently.

When's the last time a page took more than a second or two to load for you?

Before Monday? I cannot remember the last time it happened. Sometimes the pages still load normally. It's not very consistent, but when it happens, it comes in bunches.

I only got 1 page to completely load (took over a minute) when it was acting up. It said the page was still generated in under 1 second. I'm gonna be gone today, but I'll look at it some more. I'm guessing perhaps one of my Firefox extensions may be doing something.

Hmm, well we'll figure it out. So it's still happening now, is what you're saying.

What version (when you get a chance) of Firefox, and what extensions? Also, definitely get me that "page generated" message next time one slow loads.

Page load times are flying for me over three different connections.

bucknut, do you have some sort of ad blocker or firewall applet running that might be nuking the ads on your end, causing your connection to hang?

I am using Firefox 3.0 with the following extensions.
Adblock Plus
Customize Google
DownloadHelper
PDF Download

I was suspecting that it was Adblock Plus causing the troubles, but even after I disabled it, the same thing was happening. It's still sporadic. Load times have remained below 1 second on all loads.

I'm suddenly having some loading issues as well. Loaded in .25 seconds.

When it was trying to load, the bottom read "loading from showads.pubmatic" for whatever help that may or may not be.

I don't see a problem with a college football board having a pubmatic. We should all be so lucky to have a pubmatic nearby.

I'll buy that.

Whatever the problem was, it seems to no longer be a problem. Maybe just one of the ads loading very slowly for me?

The only other thing that comes to mind is clearing cache, but you probably tried that already.

Every once and I while I used to get stuck on the google analytics stuff, but it's been flying smoothly lately.
