He issued an apology, but the VTech fans have assured me that the fans were yelling/throwing stuff at him, and that the players and coaches from WVU were saying awful things to him aswell. Surely you can't blame him now.

Hate to say it, but the WVU fans are very much like that. Might get shot in the parking lot after the game as well. I hate that state altogether. Of course they are still jealous because Virginia is the real Virginia

What the hell is wrong with flipping the bird once in a while? This country has become so pussified it's pathetic. If you dish it out you'd better be able to take it in return. I hate it when people get their panties in a bunch over someone saying that "if you want the crime rate to go down, abort all black babies" or a football player flipping off a fan. So what! Man up and live with it... it's not the end of the world!

WVU fans are some of the worst. They are nearly as bad as Wisky fans, and both teams were/are coached by Barry Alvarez. I blame him.

We all know that these "apologies" issued by athletes are nothing but formal excuses to get out of trouble, when we all know that they do not mean it, but are being forced to say it by their team, agents, school, or whomever they happen to play for.

not embarrassing enough to take him out of the game... great hypocrisy mr rogers. Maybe he wanted to take him out, who knows, but overall the staff showed where their priorities lie.
